The next chapter in the Grand Theft Auto series, set in a reimagined Vice City and the surrounding state of Leonida. Development: GTA 6 has been in serious development since around 2020, so it has taken about 6–7 years to develop. Why so long: Rockstar is trying to make GTA 6 much bigger, more detailed, and more polished than GTA 5. Pre-orders: Pre-orders started on June 25, 2026. Pre-order numbers: Rockstar has not announced the exact number of GTA 6 pre-orders. Pre-order money: Because the number is unknown, the actual pre-order earnings are also unknown. Prediction: If 5 million people pre-order an $80 version, that would be around $400 million in gross sales. This is only a calculation, not an official number.
